Zubaća Bay is a peaceful and the one most beautiful suburb of Vela Luka, situated 1,5km from the centre. It is well-known for its pine forests and beautiful homes, surrounded by gardens filled with Mediterranean plants and flowers.

Along the coast there is a well-kept walking path, with benches for a quiet rest. Part of the path is well-lit. This area is very suitable for walking at all times of the day, as most of the area is well shaded.

There is a 100-year-old stone light-house right on the coast. Close by there is the fausse france chapel of St Nikola, also built on the rocky shore. St Nikola is the patron saint of sailors, so he has been welcoming and bidding farewell to sailors entering and leaving the bay of Vela Luka for many centuries. 
He is also the patron saint of travelers and tourists, and so keeps his watchful eye on all ships and boats which pass him by!!!!!
